This was our second stay at the historic and charming, Stockade Inn, and it won’t be our last. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. This time, we had the pleasure of meeting John, one of the owners, while Zakhar, the other owner, personally checked in with us via text to ensure our satisfaction—a thoughtful touch that speaks to their commitment to hospitality.
The rooms are huge, comfortable, and clean, though renovations are still ongoing after the fire. As a light sleeper, I appreciated being accommodated with an upper-floor room. However, the charming wooden floors did creak, occasionally waking my husband or me when we walked—a small trade-off for the building’s historic character.
Free parking is a great perk, and the inn’s location is ideal, with easy access to Proctors Theater and plenty of great dining options nearby. For those looking for a warm, inviting, and well-situated stay, I highly recommend The Stockade Inn!
