We’ve been to many children’s museums, and while this one isn’t the biggest or best as far as what they have, it was the best experience by far. The doors are locked and you have to be buzzed in which I thought was great and isn’t a measure most play places take. They also take reservations and keep the number of visitors to a small manageable number. My children (ages 4 & 9) were greeted right away and given a tour of every area as well as a run down of the rules, which aren’t many. We felt very welcome and we all enjoyed it. The visits are in two hour time slots, but they make convincing little ones to leave very easy! They explained to them that it is time to go and kept their spirits up as they walked each child to the door and handed them a goodie bag which I’ve never seen a play place do!
The toys/equipment inside are mostly non-commercial toys that you can find in typical retail stores and online. I actually really liked that because there were some items that I had considered buying in the past and we could “try them out” (example the climbing dome with hammock).
We will definitely be going back. Make a day of it by playing at the adjacent playground after and then hunt for shells on the beach!
