Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark

This park is one of my most favorite anywhere around. I cannot say enough good things. When you arrive, you will walk past the Dayton Playhouse (a local performing arts theatre) and through a garden entryway. You can explore the greater gardens or go into the area with the children’s activities—among which include: caves, a pretend creek, water features, bathrooms, bridge, coy pond, sandboxes, gardens, sound play area, and so on.
Back outside, the gardens are something to behold. Every time I come, it’s as though I see something I’ve never seen before. There are also trails for longer hikes.
Definitely a must-do in or near Ohio! You could easily spend the better part of a day with children or even all day!
