Four Mile Basin Trailhead
Four Mile Basin Trailhead offers an exciting and safe environment with Role-Playing, VR Games, Splash Pad. A great place for kids and families. Families love visiting for its fun-filled experience.
The trail itself is amazing and full of beauty. Relatively level (not too many uphills or downhills, except for a few places), and the terrain is mostly dirt trail. There are many rocks and branches sticking out at points, as well as puddles from snowmelt that you have to get a little creative to get around, but overall it’s fairly easy to navigate. 8 mile roundtrip if you go from the trailhead to the first lake.
I recommend bringing either a pickup truck or all-wheel drive car with a reasonable height/clearance off the ground to get to this trail. The dirt road leading into the trailhead is bumpy and contains some rocks that you want to be sure your vehicle can clear safely. Definitely take it slow heading up here! I did it in a Prius AWD, so you don’t need to be too high off the ground, but you do want to play it safe.
