just wanted to share my experience having a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese for the first time. I chose the Mega Fun package which was $30.99 per kid. my daughter is 3 years old and to me Chuck E Cheese is a place geared to young toddlers. you only have a few years to do a party here until they are older and want to do it at those trampoline parks and/or dave & busters. so in my opinion, ages 1-7 is really the good age group.
I had booked the party online probably a little more than a month in advance. I used the free invite feature to send out the invites which I thought was really convenient. the booking process is really easy. The party host called me on Friday (my party was Sunday) to go over all the details with me. Really appreciated this phone call as it really put me at ease as it was my first time doing this.
Having the party host to me is so mandatory. we had Barbara and she was amazing!!! from the second we got there until our party finished. she was very welcoming and sweet with us and sweet to our child. I had brought in my own tablecloths the day before the party, when we got there Barbara had everything ready for us. to me its so worth it having the party host, I honestly couldn’t of done the party without Barbara. she cleared all the dirty plates when the kids and adults were done eating the pizza, she filled all the kids drinks, she got the birthday cake ready, she explained the timeline of everything from the time the pizza comes out, to the time they do the birthday show, to the time they do dessert.
to be honest, my only complaints were out of Chuck E Cheese employees control, I couldn’t believe how many adults and kids who aren’t part of our party would be touching our reserved table, touching our plates, cups, party hats. random strangers sitting at our party table, using it to put their kids shoes on and off. its winter, its cold and flu season, the worst stomach bug in NJ going around, and we have people touching all our stuff. the worst thing that happened was after Barbara set up our birthday dessert for our birthday girl, a couple minutes later I come back to our table and there is a kid eating my daughters birthday dessert!!!! And the mom didn’t even apologize to me or let alone act like she even cared, if my child did that to someone else I would of been mortified!!! definitely think they would benefit having party rooms, I would definitely pay extra for a party room. its really sad how many parents disrespected your reserved party table.
