This is a very beautiful park with a very significant cultural site for the Nez Peirce tribe that isn’t very recognized.. I came to take pictures of the beautiful fall colors and found that there is a grave site for Chief Timothy. He was a very significant figure of the Nez Peirce people and should be honored way better than this.. it’s very sad to see such a small tribute to such an amazing man.. I’m glad I stumbled across this site and was able to pay tribute to him..
I definitely recommend stopping by and pay respect to such a significant historical figure..
