Reviews

I have played dozens of escape rooms across the east coast and I can say without a doubt that this was the best overall experience I have ever had. My partner and I booked this last minute as something to do on a night off, and drove over an hour to get there based on everyone else’s wonderful reviews. I can say the experiences live up to the reviews. The room was fun, and a nice combination of mechanical and technical puzzles with some cool features I had never seen in rooms before. It is a truly perfect room for experts (who will get stuck and overlook some of the easy puzzles like we did) and beginners (who will get the smaller puzzles but have more tactical issues with bigger tasks).
The true standout though was David who was our Game Master (but is also the owner and game designer) who you could tell was truly passionate about making sure we had a good time and enjoyed the room and overall experience. Once he knew we were well experienced in rooms, he took the time to ask us a bit more about our preferences when playing, do we want to be redirected when we are in a rabbit hole or should we struggle? How often should he intervene if needed? Those questions already told us that he cared deeply about how we went around the room. The thing my partner and I couldn’t stop talking about after we left was that David took the time to chat with us for about twenty minutes after we escaped about our experience. He wanted to know if the room felt fair, if he did a good job in his role as a GM for us, what we liked, what we didn’t, and you could tell he really cared about the answers we were giving him. I know they are also in the process of building their third room and he talked about some of the process, and asked us about what we liked in rooms, and what we hated. He also wanted to make sure we agreed with the difficulty level of the room and thought it would be fun for all players.
As an experienced player you could fell Davids passion through the game, and I truly enjoyed every moment playing this room and am looking forward to playing the next two installments in the series!
