Love this playground, but not hardly any shade on the actual play structures so definitely have sunscreen and hats for the kids.
The park is beautiful with the older/grown trees and great shade for a picnic, but the playground is not shaded and can get very hot mid-day. .
I love that there is a nice sand pit and two separate play structures for both smaller and older kids to enjoy and swings.
It’s a very easy walk to the museums at Balboa and shares parking with the Fleet Science center.
