North Park Playground

Lovely place. My photo submission is of a very large old tree. ( CLICK PHOTOS FOR FULL PICTURE)The tree has several window makers and is under attack by invasive vines.
Most of the spaces in between , in North Park are full of toxic plants. Multiple invasive species, a maintenance nightmare.
I propose dealing with the spaces in between for multiple reasons. In all of North Park, there is much work. I also believe North Park is ” missed opportunities” .
There are literally hundreds of possibilities, big and small.
North Park is worth at least a BILLION DOLLARS. No amount of money ever put towards North Park should be wasted. It’s permanent if you haven’t noticed. Even though it’s old doesn’t mean it’s done.
The trees need an arborist analysis and steps towards preservation and safety should become first priority.
The future of North Park has got to be more than merely maintaining the mowing.
There are ways to mitigate and improve the park.
The amount of space in North Park is one of the most valuable assets of Fall River.
Remember, this is your park.
This is your home. This was yours for as long as you have lived here. Make this park a place for out of towners to want to come and see.
