Indianapolis Zoo

Awesome zoo, and you can tell the keepers love their jobs and the animals!
We arrived as soon as they opened, and had pre-purchased our tickets and parking pass so it was a quick entry with no wait time.
The zoo is very clean, and forward thinking for recycling and such. It is March, so it’s still chilly out, so some of the animals were not on exhibit for their health and safety. This is fantastic too because that just continues to show they do care about the animals in their care.
The whole zoo, with a few animals not on exhibit, took us roughly 3 to complete. I’d say it’d have been closer to 4 if all animals were out. Either way it makes for a wonderful day out, and still leaves you time if you want to go to a sit down restaurant or something like that. I included a couple snaps of a few of the animals we got to see!
The area is very accessible and terrain was easy to navigate. Most areas have a designated entry and exit point so you don’t have to worry about getting too crowded and backlogged not knowing which way to go.
We will definitely come back as they are adding a giant tortoise in May! Would definitely recommend a visit if you have kids, or just want to leisurely walk with your significant other.
